L’exposition The Family of Man

First presented at MoMA in 1955, The Family of Man exhibition retraces the post-war era through 503 humanist, peace-oriented photographs.

Curated by the photographer Edward Steichen, this remarkable collection is now inscribed on UNESCO's Memory of the World Register. Having toured over 160 museums worldwide, The Family of Man collection has been permanently housed at Clervaux Castle in Luxembourg since 1994.

At the request of the Steichen photographic estate, LAPS Editions has created an exclusive timepiece for the exhibition. Available only at Clervaux Castle, this 100-piece limited edition features a custom-engraved case back.

The watch incorporates a photograph by Sanford Roth into one of our Signature cases (35×26×8 mm).

An American photographer who later settled in Paris, Sanford Roth dedicated his eye to capturing faces and candid moments. The image selected for this edition embodies the very spirit of The Family of Man: humanity captured in all its simplicity, gestures and spontaneity.
