Concept
our story
Watch editors: "Enthusiastic individuals editing works of artistic character using the watch as their medium." As with a gallery edition, Signature watches are printed on fine art paper. The Modernist collection, true to the craft traditions, revisits these techniques to accompany its contemporary creations. Every LAPS watch is conceived as a work to be revealed on the wrist.
Oria series dial
The Oria dial is crafted in lacquered paint, offering a smooth and deep surface with a uniform tone. A paint dot encircled in metal, placed with precision, signs the whole as a discreet graphic detail.
Assembly
Assembling our watches here in Paris is a deliberate choice: to remain as close as possible to our standards. We work with a trusted partner to uphold a French know-how expertise and ensure responsiveness for our customers.
Prima case
Our Prima case adopts a clean and balanced aesthetic, designed to subtly enhance the dial. Its square silhouette makes it an elegant piece designed to be noticed, without ever imposing itself.
Strap & Personalisation
We chose to develop straps you won't find anywhere else: materials, textures, and colours designed to give our watches a true character of their own. Interchangeable in a few seconds, they allow you to move from one style to another with effortless ease.

1. A Gaze
LAPS was born in Paris in 2016, beneath the glass roof of a workshop on Rue de Bellechasse, on the Left Bank. From the very beginning, we imagined LAPS as a watch editor, with the ambition of making the dial a true space for expression. Nourished by photography, graphic design, and the visual energy of Paris, our first creations already told a different way of approaching the watch: freer, more curious, more personal.

2. The Editions
LAPS's first creations take the form of graphic series and editions inspired by image, art and everyday life. With the Éditions collection, each watch becomes a medium for expression, conceived as an object capable of carrying a strong identity on the wrist. Over the years, artistic collaborations, illustrated dials and singular formats all contribute to building a visual language that is free and immediately recognisable.

3. A natural progression
Over time, we feel the need to go further and work on the watch as a whole. The case, the proportions, the surfaces and the way light reveals volumes all become subjects of creation in their own right. More than a change of direction, this evolution naturally extends what LAPS has been exploring since its beginnings: the relationship between image, form and time.

4. Studio
This new chapter takes shape on Rue Mandar, in the heart of Paris. From one bank to the other, LAPS develops with the Studio collection a more considered approach to the watch, where design, material and volume all contribute to a single balance. Inspired by architecture, design and a certain pursuit of the essential, the collection asserts a more precise language, considered down to the finest detail.
